What We Believe:

God

God is the loving Creator of all that exists. God is eternal. He is completely good, knowing all things and possessing all power. He exists in three persons, yet is One God. These three persons are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. All are co-equal, co-existent, and co-eternal. God desires to have a close relationship with every person and invites everyone to embrace Him completely. Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; Genesis 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 4:9-10

Father

God, the Father cares for all He has made (James 1:17). He is revealed to us through Jesus Christ (Matthew 11:27). He desires that we seek Him and develop a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ God expressed Himself in human form (incarnation) through Jesus Christ, His Son. Jesus was born of a virgin named Mary. He taught us about the Kingdom of God, performed miracles and lived a sinless life. Though without sin, Jesus Christ allowed Himself to be crucified as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of humanity. Jesus died on the cross and was buried in a tomb. Three days later, Jesus arose physically from the dead, encouraged His followers and was seen alive by hundreds. He returned to Heaven to prepare a place for Christians and to wait for the time to bring His Kingdom into its fullness. Jesus desires to have a loving, growing, dynamic relationship with every person. Matthew 1:22, 23; Matthew 22:36-40; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:6-30; Hebrews 1:1-3; Hebrews 4:14, 15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Romans 1:3, 4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14, 15

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit possesses all the attributes of Deity. The primary ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify and give testimony to Jesus Christ. To that end, the Holy Spirit was sent to live in everyone who is a Christian. He teaches, comforts, guides, sanctifies, regenerates, indwells, teaches and empowers each Christian. He gives us diverse spiritual gifts to benefit the church, reach out to the unsaved and help us to live like Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; John 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38; Romans 5:5; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:11; Ephesians 4; Titus 3:5; and Romans 12

The Church

The church should pursue correct doctrine and strive to be culturally relevant. The church is a divinely instituted body that has been given the mission of accomplishing God’s purposes on earth. The church is the body and bride of Christ on earth, founded on the day of Pentecost, consisting of Christians everywhere. Each local church is God’s primary means of bringing His people to spiritual maturity and equipping them for service to the Lord and one another. The church is a gathering place for love, support, encouragement, accountability, service, worship and growth for people who share a common bond in Christ. Jesus has called His church to proclaim the Gospel to the entire world. Matthew 16:13-18; Matthew 22:34-40; Matthew 28:18-20; John 15:5; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:42-47; Acts 5:42; Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Peter 3:15

The Bible

The Bible, in its entirety, is God’s inspired and perfect message to all people. It is God’s primary way to communicate with us. It is our obligation to seek, understand and apply God’s message. Written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Bible is the source of truth for Christian beliefs and successful living. We believe God also guides our everyday lives through the Holy Spirit, but the Spirit never conflicts with the truth revealed in the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160; Psalm 12:6; Proverbs 30:5.

Salvation

Though man (Adam and Eve) was originally created in the image and likeness of God, he fell, by his own choice, into sin and death. Men and women can never make up for their sin by self-improvement or by doing good deeds. The grace and mercy of God through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ is necessary to take away the sins of humanity.

-Every person has sinned and is in need of salvation. Romans 3:23
-Sin brings physical and spiritual death. Romans 6:23
-Jesus Christ died for our sins. Romans 5:8; John 3:16
-We can share in eternal life with Jesus Christ by being born again. Romans 6:23
-Salvation is God’s gift of grace to us. There is nothing we can do to earn salvation. Romans 6:22 & 23; Ephesians 2:8
-Our Faith Response to the Lord’s Gracious Offer of Salvation:
*Have faith in Jesus Christ and His ability to save humanity -- Acts 16:31
*Turn from our life of sin -- Acts 17:30
*Confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior -- Acts 8:37
*Follow the instructions of Jesus and be baptized by immersion in water -- Acts 2:38; Galatians 3:27; Matthew 28; Mark 16:16

2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 2:13; Ephesians 5:1-18; Romans 12:1, 2; Colossians 1:28
