Our
Vision:
The Metro Church is aggressively employing
every Biblically acceptable strategy necessary to fulfill
our mission to “help everyone become complete in Jesus
Christ” (Colossians 1:28). In response to Christ’s instruction
to “make disciples (Matthew 28:19) Metro Church’s discipleship
efforts are central part of worship, small groups, training,
evangelism, missions and community outreach. Christians
and non-Christians are attracted to, and become intimately
involved with, the ministry of the Metro Church through
the working and leading of the Holy Spirit. Spiritual seekers
routinely embrace Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Individuals
are becoming members of the Metro Church, making a Commitment
to Christian Community. They are growing in the fruit of
the Spirit, becoming like Jesus Christ. Each member is making
use of their spiritual gifts, talents and abilities are
all are actively involved in ministry. Our community will
never be the same because God is using the Metro Church
to meet the needs of individuals, families and businesses.
Metro’s efforts in whole-life discipleship are challenging,
exhilarating, stimulating, faith-stretching, relevant and
practical. Constant and consistent spiritual growth is the
goal of every person involved with the Metro Church. God-honoring
ministry efforts clearly reflect our goal to be exceptionally
effective in making disciples who are becoming “complete
in Jesus Christ.”
Worship – Metro Church worship opportunities
help lead participants into the presence of God in order
that they can express their love, devotion and adoration
to the Lord. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit we plan
God-honoring worship experiences that are designed to meet
the spiritual needs of every worshipper. We anticipate and
welcome the spontaneous work of the Holy Spirit in the midst
of the worship services. Our worship leaders creatively
employ every environmental, technological and human resource
available.
Small Groups – The Small Group ministry
provides the atmosphere for deep and meaningful “one another”
relationships. The Metro Church is comprised of a wide variety
of creative ways for men, women and children to experience,
enjoy and benefit from these supporting groups. At the core
of the small group ministry are Life Groups, which meet
weekly in homes throughout Denver. Life Groups worship,
learn, pray and serve. They are an essential part of Metro’s
strategy to make loving, growing, dynamic disciples.
Training – The Metro Church employs
creative, accurate and age appropriate methods, strategies
and programs to effectively teach and train individuals.
We provide the information and experiences necessary to
“become complete in Jesus Christ.” We use spiritual truth
from God’s Word to enhance life skills such as marriage,
raising children, finance and career. Children receive the
love, support and training they need to succeed and thrive
spiritually. Teens are challenged to make life choices that
honor God and reflect a life of service to the Lord. Adults
embrace life-changing challenges that constantly push the
boundaries of their faith and experience in the Lord.
Family Ministry -- The Metro Church
builds families. Leaders model healthy relationships with
their spouse and children. Discipleship of the entire family
is among Metro’s highest priorities as it seeks to help
parents disciple their own children. Special focus classes
on marriage, finance, communication, parenting and other
topics are offered regularly.
Evangelism – Every member and friend
of the Metro Church considers the sharing of our faith and
love for the Lord to be a normal part of following Jesus.
We “instinctively” give testimony to the work of Jesus Christ,
inspired by a God-given love and care for every individual.
Decisions for the Lord are a regular and expected part of
our ministry.
Mission – Every member and friend of
the Metro Church consider regular participation in service
and mission work to be a standard part of successful living
and following Jesus Christ. We personally participate in
increasingly challenging and faith-stretching projects and
trips.
Community – Metro Church is a significant
resource to our immediate community offering spiritual,
social, economic and physical support to families, individuals
and businesses. We are an indispensable part of successful
living in our community as we work to build bridges and
tear down barriers. Individuals and businesses are not only
aware of our ministry, but embrace a growing awareness that
Denver would be less without the Lord, Jesus Christ and
His church. The members of the Metro Church serve Jesus
by loving and serving others.
